If a serious incident happened now, one person is already designated to coordinate the first response.

The team can give the full location and knows where an ambulance should be met.

Gates, tracks, keys, parking or other access issues have been checked from an emergency-vehicle point of view.

First-aid equipment and any AED are accessible, clearly located, checked and known to the team.

People know who calls 999, who stays with the casualty and who meets emergency services.

The team has discussed how it would recognise when altered behaviour, ceremony effects, heat, fasting or purging may actually be medical deterioration.

If somebody is unwell, the team knows what changes to watch and will reassess rather than assuming the first explanation is correct.

There is a sensible way to obtain and hand over relevant emergency information without exposing unnecessary private information.

The core team has practised a realistic emergency scenario in the last 12 months.

Near misses and real incidents are reviewed and used to change the plan, kit, roles or training.
